User consultation
GlobWave User Consultation
GlobWave is a joint ESA and CNES initiative to service the needs of satellite wave data users across the globe.
GlobWave provides free and open access to satellite altimeter and SAR wave products in a common format, with a common error characterisation, spanning 11 satellite instruments in both delayed mode and in near-real time, from 1985 to the present.
The GlobWave User Consultation will take place on 5-6 October 2011 at the National Maritime College of Ireland, in Cork. The aim of the meeting is to present the multi-mission wave data services to the user community, and to gather user feedback and collect recommendations for future work. The meeting will allow participants to show how the GlobWave data is being used in a series of presentations and posters, and the project team will explain the latest technical developments.
The meeting is the third GlobWave user consultation, following those held in Ifremer in September 2007 and April 2010
