Medspiration represents one of the first major efforts by ESA to prepare the ground for the effective delivery of data to serve the needs of ocean forecasting models in support of operational oceanography. |

It is therefore a priority of the users to determine whether the Medspiration service is able to provide the reliability of data delivery needed to sustain an operational forecasting system. To complete this objective, a user community was constituted and they presented the results of the test performed during a one-month period. The test results were so promising that it has been strongly felt the necessity to work closer to the users to adjust the future of the project to their feedbacks and requests. The first user consultation meeting held at NOC the 22 March 2005 and results presented were very promising.
