| The Mission of the Institute is to reduce the impact of the seismic and volcanic phenomena in Ecuador through permanent monitoring, scientific research and technological application promoting the creation of a prevention culture.
The Geophysical Institute intends to be an leader in the scientific research of Ecuador, by encouraging State policies that promote the improvement of individual and collective security, as well as the sustainable development of the country, via reduction of its vulnerability to the natural phenomena. |
