Environment Canada’s climate research program is an integral part of national and international efforts to understand climate system behaviour, the human influence on climate, and future climate change.

The results and knowledge produced from these activities provide the scientific basis for services to Canadians and for the development of timely actions to confront the challenges of climate change.
