SMOS+Innovation: Call for Proposal is now open for competitive tender

The European Space Agency (ESA) hereby invites all interested companies from all eligible STSE participating countries to submit a tender for the SMOS+Innovation procurement. If companies are not yet registered as an ESA bidder, they are invited to obtain access to EMITS by completing a questionnaire, which can be found at the indicated URL below.
The aims of SMOS+ Innovation include:
- To investigate at feasibility level the potential of SMOS in the context of novel scientific areas and innovative application domains beyond the SMOS mission objectives;
- To develop and validate novel retrieval methods and prototype products based on the novel observation capacities of SMOS and demonstrate its feasibility on a number of test cases;
- To define scientific roadmap identifying the developments required in the proposed area.
