BRGM, the French geological survey, works towards the sustainable management of our subsurface resources.

Based in Orléans, France, BRGM is a public institution with industrial and commercial interests under the joint supervision of the ministries responsible for Research and for Industry.

The organisation has 860 employees, including over 600 scientists, engineers and technicians, spread in 26 Regional Geological Surveys in France and its overseas departments and territories and has teams working in more than 40 countries.
