| ARPA-Lombardia is an autonomous government scientific and technical agency which supports the implementation of environmental policy. Its role includes both providing public information as well as monitoring the state of the environment. ARPA-Lombardia consists of several departments covering air quality, soils and natural resources, hydrology, noise and radiation. It administers the environmental certification of industrial activities, and promotes the research and development of clean industrial technologies. |
